CSS — FAQ
What is the CSS myFlex system?
Supplementary cover in three tiers (Economy, Balance, Premium) per module — outpatient, hospital, alternative medicine. You combine only what you need and can step down later. Often more flexible than rigid packages.
Is CSS cheap?
It varies by region — usually solid mid-table. With a Telmed/HMO model and the right deductible CSS is often competitive; whether it leads in your premium region shows in seconds in the premium calculator.
How do I switch to or away from CSS?
Basic insurance: cancel by 30 November by registered mail, switch from 1 January. Supplementary cover has its own deadlines (often 30 September) and health screening — never cancel before the new cover is confirmed. We can handle the switch for you.
Do I pay more premium through insurance-guide.ch?
No. Basic-insurance premiums are officially approved and identical whether you sign up directly or through us. We are paid by the insurers via commission; how that works is explained transparently on our advisory page.
