Helsana — FAQ

What does the Helsana+ app actually give me?

You collect points from exercise, prevention and loyalty that are paid out as francs — potentially into the low hundreds per year depending on activity. It offsets a slightly higher premium but does not replace a basic-insurance comparison.

Are Progrès and Sansan "worse" Helsana insurers?

No — basic-insurance benefits are identical by law. The group brands are simply priced differently. It is worth comparing them in the premium calculator.

How do I switch to or away from Helsana?

Basic insurance: cancel by 30 November by registered mail, switch from 1 January. Supplementary cover has its own deadlines (often 30 September) and health screening — never cancel before the new cover is confirmed. We can handle the switch for you.

Do I pay more premium through insurance-guide.ch?

No. Basic-insurance premiums are officially approved and identical whether you sign up directly or through us. We are paid by the insurers via commission; how that works is explained transparently on our advisory page.
